The staff and regulars cheer for everyone, especially the nervous ones. You can bomb completely and still get genuine encouragement afterward. No one expects perfection, absolute beginners share the stage with people who’ve been performing for years. Funk’s setup is beginner-friendly, and the staff is super helpful if you need any help at all.
Your First Time
The sign up sheet fills fast, so show up early. Do your best to rehearse beforehand so you can focus on getting setup right when it’s your turn.
Your phone can’t teach you how to handle stage fright, make a room laugh or get a room to start clapping along to a song. The only way to learn is in front of real people. Funk is a great place to start.
